Gochar Mahavidyalaya is one of the pioneering institutions in the Saharanpur district of Western Uttar Pradesh, college began with a mission to address the educational needs of the community. Over the years, it has evolved into a Center of Excellence in agricultural education. Initially offering a B.Sc. in Agriculture, the college has expanded its academic portfolio to include programs in Arts, Science, Physical Education, Commerce, Management, Education, Home Science, and BTC.
In 1988, the college achieved the status of a Post Graduate College, introducing advanced teaching and research programs with M.Sc. degrees in Agricultural Chemistry, Agricultural Botany, and Horticulture.
